This role is for a Health Economics & Market Access (HEMA) Lead in Colombia for DePuy Synthes, focusing on driving market access strategies, value-based healthcare initiatives, and ensuring optimal reimbursement and adoption of orthopaedic solutions. The role involves analyzing market trends, engaging with payers and providers, and creating business cases to support technology adoption.

What you'd actually do

  1. Implement Market Access Strategies: Execute innovative market access, health economics, and reimbursement strategies for key technologies in Chile. Collaborate closely with the Commercial and Marketing teams.
  2. Drive VBHC Strategy: Lead the execution of Value-Based Health Care (VBHC) strategies for strategic products and procedures, ensuring alignment with broader business goals.
  3. Analyze Insights: Provide analysis on macroeconomic trends, health economics, epidemiology, market access, and reimbursement, utilizing these insights to identify new business opportunities and enhance market positioning.
  4. Engage Stakeholders: Develop and maintain strong relationships with Payers and Providers within the Southern Cluster healthcare landscape, clearly articulating value propositions to improve patient access.

Skills

Required

  • Deep expertise in Chile’s healthcare systems
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the healthcare sector, particularly in Health Economics & Market Access
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with a persuasive edge
  • Proven ability to think creatively and strategically to fill market access gaps
  • Strong collaboration skills with a proactive approach to engaging with stakeholders
  • Fluency in English is required
  • Willingness to travel nationally and regionally, including overnight stays

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with non-clinical stakeholders
  • Experience with Medical Devices access projects
  • Knowledge and practice in Value-Based Healthcare (VBHC)
  • Background in economic evaluation and healthcare modeling
  • Master’s degree in Health Economics, Public Health, Epidemiology, or related fields
