The HEMA Manager Korea is responsible for end-to-end market access, reimbursement, and pricing strategy for DePuy Synthes products in Korea. This includes leading new health technology assessments, securing premium pricing, supporting listing of reimbursable products, developing and executing reimbursement coding and pricing strategies, engaging with stakeholders, and monitoring healthcare policies.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead and support new health technology assessment for innovative products requiring new procedure codes under the NHI (National Health Insurance) system.
  2. Secure premium pricing for new or existing products through value-based evidence and differentiated clinical and economic data.
  3. Support listing of reimbursable products in the Medical Devices Reimbursement List (same functional category and same price).
  4. Develop and execute reimbursement coding and pricing strategies across the product lifecycle in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders.
  5. Engage with medical societies and key opinion leaders to support advocacy activities related to market access and policy shaping.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 10+ years of market access / reimbursement experience in the medical industry
  • Strong understanding of healthcare policy, pricing and reimbursement system, Health Technology Assessment, and pricing decision-making processes
  • Experience in intensive payer negotiations
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to influence, negotiate, and communicate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to drive open conversations and challenge the status quo in a professional and respectful way
  • Fluency in English and Korean (both verbal and writing skills)
