DePuy Synthes is recruiting for a HEMA Lead Switzerland and Austria, located in Switzerland
The HEMA Lead Switzerland & Austria leads Health Economics & Market Access (HEMA) strategy and execution for Switzerland and Austria. This role drives reimbursement and access to support adoption of innovative orthopaedic solutions and leads strategic external engagement aligned with Depuy Synthes and EMEA priorities.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and execute the HEMA strategy for Switzerland, with extended scope for Austria, in alignment with EMEA priorities and ways of working. • Develop and implement country-specific access plans for Switzerland, reflecting a decentralized and institution-driven decision-making environment. • Support access strategy and external stakeholder engagement in Austria, aligned with local reimbursement structures and decision-making processes. • Develop and deliver market access and funding strategies to enable adoption and sustainable growth. • Build and maintain strategic relationships with payers, HTA bodies, institutional decision-makers and relevant authorities to shape the external environment and advance value-based adoption. • Lead EMEA-aligned evidence generation and value creation activities and translate insights into local value messages, tools and materials. • Partner cross-functionally with Marketing, Sales, Medical/Clinical and Regulatory teams to develop and execute market access and reimbursement strategies across the product lifecycle. • Ensure effective deployment of health economic tools, value assets and training to enable internal stakeholders and strengthen field activation. • Monitor execution against HEMA priorities and business objectives, ensuring alignment to agreed plans, milestones and governance expectations. • Ensure compliance with applicable quality, ethics and local regulatory requirements, consistent with EMEA HEMA standards.
Scope & Impact
Accountable for HEMA outcomes across Switzerland and Austria, with direct impact on reimbursement, access, adoption and regional performance.
Qualifications
• Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD preferred) in Health Economics, Public Health, Life Sciences or a related field. • 7+ years of experience in HEMA/Market Access, including country-level strategic leadership. • Demonstrated experience engaging external stakeholders and influencing cross-functional teams.
