This role is for a Senior Analyst (P2) High-Performance Computing (HPC) System Administrator responsible for managing a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux environment. The candidate will handle Windows Server internals, Linux fundamentals, OS tuning for performance, and work with cybersecurity professionals to maintain security compliance. The role requires an active U.S. government security clearance and specific IT certifications.

What you'd actually do

  1. Work as a team member in a fast-paced technological environment.
  2. Help develop and implement new technologies based upon industry best practices.
  3. Use troubleshooting techniques to resolve technical problems at a moderate scope and complexity to include the integration of High-Performance Computing hardware, software, and operating systems (OS).
  4. Understanding utilizing software tools, automated scripts, batch schedulers, hardware, and system-level troubleshooting, to lead and support the engineering community.
  5. Perform OS tuning to maximize system performance on high performance computing systems. Work across DT functions to standardize processes and procedures.
  6. Work with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security compliance requirements.
  7. Provide documentation and training on advanced DT HPC processes and procedures. Be a mentor to junior team members.
  8. Must be able to obtain required Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification and an Operating System Certification) within 6 months of hire date.
