Eli Lilly is seeking a High Voltage Electrician - Instrument Technician for their new API manufacturing facility in Lebanon, IN. The role involves servicing, troubleshooting, and maintaining electrical equipment (4160V, 480V) and process instrumentation, ensuring cGMP compliance and safety. This is a hands-on role critical to the startup and operation of a greenfield manufacturing site.

What you'd actually do

  1. Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on 4160 and 480 Voltage Electrical Equipment (Circuit Breakers, 13.8KV Main Switch gears, Motor Starters, Fuses, ground fault interrupts).
  2. Perform Preventive maintenance on complex Electrical Equipment (e.g., motor control centers, variable-speed drives, programmable logic controllers, etc.).
  3. Troubleshoot and diagnose Electrical Equipment problems and make appropriate repairs to minimize downtime.
  4. Perform modifications and new installations of Electrical Equipment.
  5. Diagnose complex electrical problems to effect repairs and to restore equipment/systems to operating condition.

Skills

Required

  • 480 Volt switch gear
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Post Offer exam
  • Qualified applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis

Nice to have

  • Associate degree in Electronics Technology, or equivalent electrical and/or instrumentation work experience
  • Experience troubleshooting and new installation of various instrumentation
  • Must have mechanical aptitude.
  • Must possess basic electrical skills as well as the ability to troubleshoot basic electrical circuits and equipment.
  • Must be willing to respond to call-in and scheduled overtime work.
  • Must be capable of lifting up to 40 pounds.
  • Must be able to withstand exposure to temperature variations while performing work outside in winter and summer weather conditions
  • Experience maintaining circuit breakers, Medium Voltage Switchgear, Motor Starters, Fuses,
  • Must have ability to read P & ID drawings and schematics
  • Experience with a CMMS (e.g., GMARS), or similar work order tracking system
  • Document work using good documentation practices (ALCOA+)
  • Proficiency in basic use of Microsoft Office tools (e.g., Word, Excel)
