Higher Education Account Executive

This role is for a Higher Education Account Executive at Apple, responsible for driving sales engagement with educational institutions in an assigned territory. The role involves understanding customer priorities, identifying opportunities for Apple's tools and resources, developing market plans, and creating solutions to support next-generation learning. It requires collaboration with educators, direct sales, and channel resellers to generate demand, manage existing customer relationships, and expand the adoption of the Apple ecosystem in the classroom.

What you'd actually do

  1. Understand the organizational structure, decision-making process, and political considerations in the Education Sector.
  2. Call and influence at all levels across accounts.
  3. Understand the needs and issues facing Apple’s Education customers.
  4. Craft sales opportunities and projects to increase sales and establish a dominant share position in Apple’s Education accounts, and presenting and selling 1:1 initiatives into the Education marketplace.
  5. Effectively articulate and present Apple’s education leadership messages.

Skills

Required

  • Quantifiable record of success in education or technology sales, with a proven ability to meet and exceed sales goals
  • Experience with solution-based approach to solving customer requirements and an understanding of complex sales cycles
  • Outstanding communication, presentation, and storytelling skills
  • Passion for Apple technology with the curiosity to uncover new leads, resilience to manage ambiguity, and drive to create solutions to accelerate sales growth
  • Excellent collaboration and relationship building skills with the ability to quickly establish trust, credibility, and influence across a variety of cross-functional and multi-directional partners
  • Laser-focus on customers and partners
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License and access to your own reliable transportation to drive within your territory for customer meetings

Nice to have

  • 5+ years of related experience
  • Background working with channel partners and/or supporting multiple routes to market is highly preferred
  • Deep understanding of the Higher Education and/or SLED market is a plus
  • Background in technology sales, account development, and/or similar function is a plus
  • Ability to build rapport with new customers across all levels of an Education organization
  • Forward-thinking approach and tenacity to drive what matters
  • High level of integrity, trust, and accountability to do what’s right
  • Strong time management and organizational skills, along with the ability to work independently
