HR Generalist role supporting HR functions including HRIS management, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and compliance within a defense technology company.

What you'd actually do

  1. Administer and maintain HRIS, ensuring data integrity and accuracy. Generate reports and analytics to support decision-making and HR strategy. Troubleshoot HRIS issues and liaise with vendors as necessary.
  2. Manage the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the company and develop training materials and programs that align with our mission and industry standards.
  3. Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws and regulations, particularly regarding defense industry standards. Maintain employee records and HR databases, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy
  4. Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to enhance our HR processes

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in HR, preferably in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Knowledge of HR practices, labor laws, and regulations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite
