This role is for an HR Generalist at Microsoft, focusing on partnering with leadership and employees to deliver HR services in the Czechia and Slovakia region. Responsibilities include HR community leadership, governance, employee experience, project execution, statutory compliance, external impact, and crisis management. Requires experience in Czechia & Slovakia HR policies, labor law, and union negotiations, with fluency in Czech and English.

What you'd actually do

  1. Partner with and build effective relationships with leadership teams to enable a One Microsoft approach, coaching leaders and leadership teams as needed.
  2. Lead, manage, and drive clarity for geography or client governance committees.
  3. Act as an employee advocate by looking beyond process execution into the lived experiences of employees, managers, and leaders.
  4. Execute or lead HR projects, programs, and initiatives with minimal supervision, including applying COE programs, supporting organizational change, or implementing new benefits or talent initiatives.
  5. Maintain deep, current knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and emerging trends affecting HR policies and practices (e.g., labor law, GDPR, health and safety, benefits, local documentation).

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Legal, Business, Psychology, or a related field
  • experienced in HR or a related field (e.g., hiring, employee relations, performance management) involving the application of employment laws and HR policies or equivalent experience
  • governing local Czechia & Slovakia HR policies
  • managing local Czechia & Slovakia labor law and statutory reporting
  • Union/Workers Council/ERB negotations
  • Fluency in Czech and English languages

Nice to have

  • Master’s Degree in Human Resources, Legal, Business, Psychology, or a related field
