What you'd actually do

  1. Develop and execute Japan-specific talent acquisition strategies aligned with business growth plans and global HR priorities
  2. Lead, coach, and develop a team of Talent Acquisition Specialists and/or Recruiters in Japan
  3. Oversee full-cycle recruitment for roles across Sales, Marketing, Clinical, Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, R&D, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Corporate functions
  4. Partner closely with Japan leadership, HR Business Partners, and global TA teams
  5. Ensure all recruitment activities comply with Japan labor laws and internal corporate policies

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • 7+ years of talent acquisition experience, including 3+ years in Medical Device, Life Sciences, or Healthcare
  • Proven experience managing and developing recruiters or TA teams in Japan
  • Experience working within a multinational, matrixed organization
  • Strong people leadership and coaching capability
  • In-depth understanding of Japan talent market dynamics
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • Data-driven decision-making and recruitment analytics experience
  • Native-level Japanese
  • Business-level English
