Hris Consultant (workday)

Zendesk Zendesk · Enterprise · Austin, TX +2 · Remote

This role is for an HRIS Analyst with a focus on Workday configuration, business process design, reporting, and integrations. It involves end-to-end ownership of Workday Recruiting modules, production support, system evolution, and stakeholder partnership. The role also includes mentorship and cross-training of junior team members.

What you'd actually do

  1. End-to-end Configuration: Own the end-to-end configuration for Workday Recruiting (Business Process, Reports, Integrations, Gem Overlay, and Security) while maintaining "day-to-day" ticket workload across supported modules.
  2. Mentorship & Cross-Training: Act as a technical escalation point for junior analysts. You will lead "knowledge transfer" sessions and build documentation to ensure the team is cross-trained and that no single person is a "single point of failure."
  3. System Evolution: Lead the technical roadmap and guide best practice configuration for supported modules, ensuring we are maximizing our Workday investment through biannual releases and feature adoption.
  4. Production Support: Troubleshoot complex issues involving Calculated Fields, Business Processes, and Security Groups with a focus on root-cause analysis and permanent solutions.
  5. Stakeholder Partnership: Partner with business stakeholders to translate "people strategy" into technical reality, managing expectations and delivering results in an agile environment.
