Boeing Defense, Space & Security is seeking a Human Engineer in Denver, CO to join their Human Engineering team. What you'd actually do

  1. Apply Human Engineering knowledge and principles to the analysis, design, and evaluation of complex systems
  2. Define system performance requirements to ensure safe and successful human operation of physical, functional, and program interfaces for all system operators
  3. Apply human performance principles, methodologies, and technologies to the design of complex systems
  4. Develop and implement research methodologies and analysis plans to test and evaluate developmental prototypes
  5. Apply a knowledge of military standards (such as MIL-STD-1472, MIL-STD-1474, MIL-STD-1787, MIL-STD-3009, MIL-STD 411F) to meet program requirements

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Cognitive Psychology or other Human Engineering related field of study
  • 1+ years of work experience in Human Engineering or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience

Nice to have

  • Understanding of Human System Integration (HSI) in the defense acquisition process
  • Knowledge of military standards (such as MIL-STL-1472, MIL-STD-1474, MIL-STD-2525, MIL-STD-1787, MIL-STD-3009, MIL-STD 411F, DoDI 5000.95, and JSSG-2010)
  • Experience using Astro Space UX Design System
  • Ability to derive Human Engineering requirements
  • Experience supporting defense programs
  • Experience in program documentation of the HE processes and products in a format consistent with US Military Data Item Descriptions (e.g. Human Engineering Program Plan, Human Engineering Design Approach Document – Operator, Human Engineering Design Approach Document – Maintainer, Human Engineering Test Plan, Human Engineering Test Report, et. al)
  • Experience with the user interface software prototyping tools
  • Experience with Usability software
  • Knowledge in Human Perception and Cognition
  • Experience with Human Performance Modeling
  • Experience in workload assessments and situation awareness assessments such as NASA TLX
  • Experience in conducting tasks analyses and mapping user workflow
  • Ability to evaluate designs against Human Readiness Levels (HRLs)
  • Experience in Agile Development
  • Previous experience developing style guides and implementing UI design tenets
  • Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering
