Human Factors Engineer - Level 3/4

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Human Factors Engineer to apply human performance principles to the design of human-machine systems. Responsibilities include interfacing with design engineers, identifying and analyzing technological problems, supporting UI/message visualization teams, and managing demonstrations and logistics. Requires a STEM degree, experience with software development (C++, Python, RHEL), visualization tools, model-based systems engineering, and a Secret clearance.

What you'd actually do

  1. Orchestrate content and conduct of customer demonstrations of BSW Program and software
  2. Ensure successful coordination with all stakeholders, including Program Management, Leads, and technical team members
  3. Plan demonstration storyboard, agenda, win theme, success criteria
  4. Design, review and brief presentations to program leadership and prospective customers
  5. Coordinate development goals, fixes, need dates, code complete milestones

Required

  • Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline AND 5 years of related professional/military experience (Level 3) OR Master of Science degree in a STEM discipline AND 3 years of related professional/military experience (Level 3) OR STEM Ph.D. AND 1 year of related professional/military experience (Level 3) OR Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline AND 8 years of related professional/military experience (Level 4) OR Master of Science degree in a STEM discipline AND 6 years of related professional/military experience (Level 4) OR STEM Ph.D. AND 4 years of related professional/military experience (Level 4)
  • strong communication skills
  • experience demonstrating concepts to management and customers
  • experience with Visualization Tools
  • experience with software development: C++, Python, Red Hat Enterprise Linux
  • experience with model-based systems engineering products and/or Mission Engineering (e.g., Cameo Suite) and Agile framework (e.g., Jira/Confluence)
  • experience with MS Office Tools (PPT, Doc, etc.)
  • current/active DoD government Secret clearance
