Chewy is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner for their Goodyear, AZ Pharmacy fulfillment center. This role involves supervising the HR department, focusing on performance management, employee engagement, talent development, and handling employee relations issues. Responsibilities include mentoring managers, assisting with training, analyzing data for trends, facilitating compensation programs, coordinating workers' compensation, handling benefits administration, developing job descriptions and policies, and participating in safety meetings and accident investigations. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience), 5+ years in an HR partnership role (preferably in a fulfillment/distribution center), 2+ years of HR team leadership experience, and a proven track record of strategic partnerships. Strong communication, problem-solving, critical thinking, and influencing skills are required.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead team responsible for performance management, employee engagement and talent development.
  2. Work with line managers and employees to address all types of employee relations issues ensuring a balance in representing all parties’ interests
  3. Provide management mentor to build leadership capabilities to address and resolve employee issues.
  4. Assists with training as needed by training team; owns orientation and onboarding.
  5. Review and analyze data to identify trends and recommend solutions to improve performance, retention, and employee experience.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related study preferred (experience in a similar warehouse environment or a combination of education-training and experience will be considered)
  • 5+ years in an HR partnership role ideally within a fulfillment or distribution center or lively work environment
  • 2+ years' experience leading a HR Team
  • Excellent written, verbal, public presentation /communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal social skills
  • Strong discernment, including problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and self-initiative
  • Ability to influence and partner with different levels of the organization to achieve results
  • Able to work efficiently with a variety of personnel
  • Strong employee relations background
