This role is for a Human Resources Expert at Target. The responsibilities include understanding employment laws, using basic Microsoft Office Suite and workforce management programs, and effectively using scheduling software. The role also involves creating a positive guest experience, assisting guests, supporting team efforts, anticipating talent and staffing needs, leading recruiting efforts, supporting training, being a resource for scheduling and pay practices, and delivering on HR processes to maximize team member engagement and minimize business disruption. The role also requires supporting compliance policies and demonstrating ethical conduct, safety, and compliance.

What you'd actually do

  1. Create an Easy, Inspiring and Friendly guest experience by delivering on the following commitments:
  2. Actively support team efforts and assist peers in other areas while maintaining a positive and respectful attitude
  3. Work with your HR leader to anticipate and address specific talent and staffing needs for each area of the business; this includes understanding guests’ needs and ensuring the right mix of experience and skills to deliver on the in-store and digital shopping experiences.
  4. Lead focused recruiting efforts to help store leaders find and hire candidates.
  5. Support team member and leader training needs and be an advocate for continuous learning.
