Legal professional to advise on legal and regulatory challenges related to workforce data and the use of AI-enabled tools within HR functions at a financial institution.

What you'd actually do

  1. Analyze and advise on global data workforce and privacy and employment implications of AI regulations and policy efforts across multiple jurisdictions.
  2. Support enterprise initiatives on AI governance and data strategy when operational changes impact the workforce.
  3. Advise on internal and third party vendor processing of workforce data to identify and mitigate unnecessary risk.
  4. Provide day-to-day legal advice to workforce data and human resources teams leveraging workforce data.
  5. Provide clear, actionable advice to senior leaders and stakeholders on complex and novel legal issues.

Skills

Required

  • JD degree and compliance with all relevant licensing requirements for the jurisdiction of employment.
  • Minimum of five years post-admission legal practicing experience.
  • Demonstrated experience advising on human resources workforce data, innovation, AI and technology.
  • Familiarity with emerging laws and frameworks governing the use of data and technology.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Outstanding organizational and project management abilities.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to provide actionable legal advice.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate with senior executives.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong client and colleague relationships.
  • Successful completion of a conflicts of interest clearance review prior to employment.

Nice to have

  • Experience working in a large financial institution or similar regulated environment.
  • Prior involvement in advocacy or policy development related to data and workforce data.
  • Familiarity with privacy regulations including HIPAA.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Experience supporting senior management and cross-functional teams on legal issues.
