What you'd actually do

  1. Inspection and Verification: conducts thorough inspections of HVAC systems at various stages of the ship construction process. Verifies that the installation aligns with approved plans, design drawings, and industry standards. This involves checking the placement of ducts, equipment, ventilation systems, refrigeration units, and control mechanisms.
  2. Code and Regulatory Compliance: Ensures compliance with maritime and HVAC industry regulations. Ensures that HVAC systems adhere to international and regional standards set by organizations like the International Maritime Organization (IMO) and classification societies.
  3. Documentation: maintains detailed records of inspections, tests, and any corrective actions taken. Documentation helps ensure accountability, regulatory compliance, and provides a historical reference for future inspections.
  4. Quality Control: assesses the quality of HVAC system installations and identifies any deficiencies or deviations from the approved plans. Works with the construction team to address and rectify any issues promptly to ensure the systems are correctly installed and function as intended.
  5. Safety and Efficiency: ensures that systems are designed and installed to prevent air contamination, manage temperature and humidity, and provide adequate ventilation to promote health and safety.
