This role is for an Immigration and Mobility Lead at Baseten, an AI infrastructure company. The lead will be responsible for managing all U.S. visa processes, overseeing international hiring through EOR partners, and acting as the internal immigration expert. They will also advise on international expansion, relocation experiences, and build scalable processes for immigration and mobility. The role requires 5+ years of experience in U.S. and Canadian business immigration, strong knowledge of immigration law, and excellent communication and organizational skills.

What you'd actually do

  1. Own the end-to-end immigration lifecycle, managing all U.S. visa processes (e.g., H-1B, O-1, J-1, TN, E-3, L-1, EB-2/3 PERM) from offer stage through renewals and permanent residency.
  2. Oversee and project manage visa sponsorships executed through Employer of Record (EOR) partners
  3. Serve as Baseten’s internal immigration expert, partnering closely with external counsel and vendors where needed.
  4. Stay closely attuned to changes in the U.S. immigration landscape and translate them into clear, practical guidance for employees and leadership.
  5. Design a relocation experience that feels seamless and well-supported, helping employees and their families successfully land in San Francisco, New York, or other global locations
