Boeing is seeking an Industrial Engineer to join their Test Operations & Engineering team in Berkeley, MO. The role involves applying industrial engineering concepts to product, process, and services, supporting plant and equipment layouts, optimizing production systems, and improving quality through root cause analysis. Responsibilities include developing models and spreadsheets for data analysis, supporting research and implementation of processes to enhance schedule performance, cost, and quality, and providing support for operations plans, logistics, and performance visibility. The position requires a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 5+ years of experience, with a preference for a degree in Industrial Engineering and experience in test laboratory operations and project management. A US Security Clearance is required.

What you'd actually do

  1. Apply basic industrial engineering concepts, approaches and techniques to product, process and services to meet program requirements
  2. Support the development of plant and equipment layouts, capacity plans, accident prevention measures, sequencing of operations and workflows
  3. Participate in the evaluation of new techniques and technological developments for integration into the production process and service operations
  4. Assist with designing, maintaining, and optimizing the production system by integrating design, supply base, facilities, equipment, and personnel
  5. Conduct basic work-flow design and analysis
