This role is for an Industrial Maintenance Technician at Caterpillar, responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting machinery, equipment, and tools. Key responsibilities include utilizing preventative maintenance, managing oil analysis, troubleshooting electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, interpreting blueprints and schematics, and working with PLC and robotic controls. The role requires knowledge of electrical and electronic principles, ladder diagrams, and installation of new manufacturing equipment.

What you'd actually do

  1. Utilize PM as the proactive means of controlling machine up/down time
  2. Organize and document log out / tag out procedures
  3. Manage oil analysis program for all required equipment
  4. Vast knowledge of the principles on how the machinery / equipment / tools work
  5. Skilled and knowledge on electrical principles of three phase, motors and able to diagnose and troubleshoot any technical problem on electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment

Skills

Required

  • Knowledge of basic principles on how machinery/equipment/tools work
  • Skilled in electrical principles of three phase motors (linear, servo, AC Induction, DC motor) and troubleshooting electrical issues on CNC machines, welding machines, overhead cranes, compressors
  • Skilled in electronic principles, interpreting blueprints and schematics, and troubleshooting electronic components on CNC machines, welding machines, overhead cranes, compressors
  • Skilled in troubleshooting ladder diagrams and diagnosing technical problems on PLC controls of CNC machines
  • Skilled in performing installation of new manufacturing equipment
  • Skilled in troubleshooting electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment
  • Skilled in interpreting electronic schematic components and troubleshooting HPMP equipment
  • Skilled in PM programs and importance of accurate and timely PM tasks

Nice to have

  • Industrial Maintenance degree or equivalent from two year college or technical school
  • Six years related experience and/or training
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience
