Boeing Australia is seeking an experienced Industrial Relations Lead to support the Australian business and partner with the global International Labour Relations team. This senior, hands-on role involves leading IR initiatives, shaping enterprise-wide strategy, and building relationships with employees, leaders, and unions. Responsibilities include leading enterprise agreement negotiations, advising on industrial instruments and legal obligations, managing union relationships, supporting organizational change, and coaching leaders.

What you'd actually do

  1. Leading the planning, preparation, management and execution of enterprise agreement negotiations
  2. Advising on industrial instruments (including enterprise agreements and Modern Awards), legislative changes and obligations, disputes, and other workplace matters
  3. Developing and managing relationships with unions and employee representatives
  4. Co-ordinating and administering the organisation’s consultative forums
  5. Supporting organisational change and transformation

Skills

Required

  • Proven experience in IR within a large, complex geographically and professionally diverse organisation (6+ years)
  • Proven experience in enterprise bargaining negotiations
  • Strong working knowledge of the Fair Work Act and other relevant employment/industrial laws
  • Substantial experience in dealing with unions and employee representatives
  • Proven experience working with senior stakeholders
  • Strategic mindset with strong relationship-building skills
  • Australian Citizen (Defence security requirement)

Nice to have

  • Tertiary qualifications in law, industrial relations, human resource management, or a related field
