Manages employees performing activities to protect information from unauthorized disclosure, including security inquiries, compliance assessments and implementation security controls. Develops and executes integrated departmental plans, policies and procedures and provides input on departmental business and technical strategies, goals, objectives. Acquires resources for department activities, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements. Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports. Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes. Manages, develops and motivates employees.

Skills

Required

  • 10+ years of experience in Industrial Security
  • 5+ years of experience with Industrial Security, Facilities Security, Personnel Security, and/or Intelligence in a cleared environment
  • 3+ years of experience leading teams in a formal management role

Nice to have

  • 5+ years of experience with security-related work in one or a combination of the following domains: NISP, SAP, and/or SCI
  • 3+ years of experience with Project Management
  • 3+ years of experience with building relationships and partnering with all levels of employees, including executives in the Defense or Aerospace environment
  • 3+ years of experience communicating and building positive relationships with internal and external customers

What the JD emphasized

  • Successfully completed Tier 5 Investigation (T5), formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) by the federal government within the last 5 years, or requires candidate to have been enrolled in a Continuous Vetting program within the last 5 years
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Government Polygraph
  • Ability to obtain and maintain access to a Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and/or Special Access Programs (SAP) access
  • This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)
