This role is for an Industry Solutions Architect Manager at Google Cloud, leading a team to scale cloud solutions and drive customer success. The focus is on bridging pioneering AI/ML models with enterprise products, managing technical teams, and providing customer feedback to shape product direction. While the company heavily utilizes AI, this specific role is product and customer-facing, not directly building or researching AI models.

What you'd actually do

  1. Provide subject matter expertise around public cloud and enterprise technology and effectively promote Google Cloud with customers, at conferences, and online.
  2. Support account managers and sales engineering teams as needed through all phases of new customer engagement.
  3. Work with the team to create and deliver best practice recommendations, tutorials, blog posts, sample code, and presentations as part of the Global GTM sales plays.
  4. Provide customer and market feedback to product and engineering teams to help shape product direction.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 10 years of experience troubleshooting technical issues for internal/external partners or customers
  • 3 years of people management experience
  • Experience in either system design or reading code (e.g., Java, C++, Python)
  • Experience with producing technical assets or writing technical documentation
  • Industry expertise in at least one of the prioritized industries (e.g. Retail, Manufacturing, etc) with the ability to lead technical teams across all industries

Nice to have

  • MS degree in Computer Science or a related engineering field, OR equivalent work experience in a software/systems engineering or lead position
  • Expertise in at least one or more of the Google Product areas and the ability to manage technical resources across all areas
  • Understanding of the current state of machine learning, cloud migrations, continuous integration/deployment, SQL/NoSQL, security, networking, and cloud-based delivery models
