Information Systems Security Engineer responsible for security management and technical administration of IT environments for US Government facilities, balancing compliance with functionality. What you'd actually do

  1. Bridge engineering and compliance collaboration, delivering a holistic perspective to address both technical and regulatory requirements.
  2. Scale our infrastructure by creatively implementing automated solutions.
  3. Collaborate with your fellow ISSMs, Engineers, FSOs, and broader business stakeholders to provide consistent solutions to all of our facilities.
  4. Integrate new hardware and software technologies into our USG infrastructure.
  5. Manage relationships with upstream vendors and sponsors.

Required

  • Windows administration (AD, DNS, Group Policy, SCCM/MDT)
  • Automation tools (Powershell, Python)
  • STIGs/SRGs application
  • SIEM management
  • DoD cyber security tools (Endpoint Security Solutions, ACAS, STIGs, SCAP)

Nice to have

  • Customer service oriented mentality

What the JD emphasized

  • Active US TOP SECRET security clearance
  • Intermediate level foundational certification ISSM(722) (per DOD 8140), in 8570 this was known as IAM Level 2 certification.
  • Active Computing Environmental certification such as Linux+, CCNA, or other.
  • At least 1 years experience in a technical role (user support, technical compliance, system administration, etc.) at an accredited USG facility.
