This role is for a Senior Infrastructure and Design Automation Engineer within Intel Foundry Automation - Government Programs. The engineer will be responsible for planning, provisioning, installation, configuration, maintenance, and operations of software infrastructure for building, validating, and releasing hardware and software products. Key tasks include identifying automation opportunities, implementing solutions for increased automation and reliability, deriving infrastructure design requirements, and maintaining systems within Intel's enterprise infrastructure constraints. The role requires experience with EDA tools, scripting languages (Python, Perl, Tcl, shell), Linux OS, networking, workload management platforms, and license management. Experience with government security clearances and customer-facing roles is preferred.

What you'd actually do

  1. Ensures the efficient planning, provisioning, installation/configuration, maintenance, and/or operations of software infrastructure required to build, validate, and release a wide variety of hardware and software products and projects
  2. .Identifies opportunities and implements solutions for increased automation, reliability, and/or velocity within the pipeline through implementation of robust infrastructure telemetry, KPIs, and indicators, and by monitoring and applying industry best practices.
  3. Works closely with development and quality teams to derive infrastructure design requirements, build, test, and automate tools appropriate to the project, and/or implements and maintains of those systems within the constraints imposed by Intel enterprise infrastructure (IT) and other governing bodies.

Skills

Required

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in the field of design automation
  • Installs/configures/support various EDA tools and setup within a design environment framework, on-prem or cloud enabled enclaves
  • scripting languages like Python, Perl, Tcl, and/or shell scripting
  • Linux OS, networking, and workload management platform, such as Netbatch/LSF (batch job scheduling and management)
  • Installation and support of Tools Flows, Methodologies and (FlexLM) Licenses experience

Nice to have

  • Active US Government Security Clearance, with a minimum of Secret level
  • Post Graduate degree in Computer/Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or in a STEM related field of study
  • providing technical direction to engineering teams, including but not limited to customer support, driving methodologies to streamline design work
  • ticket management systems such as Jira
  • Customer facing and project management experience
