John Deere is hiring a Methods Engineer (F/H) for their Orléans-Saran site, which develops, manufactures, and markets diesel engines for non-road applications. The role involves piloting the industrialization of new programs, defining and implementing new test bench means, managing budgets and schedules, and collaborating with suppliers. Responsibilities include defining test bench architecture, integrating ECU and software, ensuring measurement reliability and data traceability, benchmarking, and participating in the strategy for future test benches and digitalization/automation evolution. The engineer will also implement process improvement plans, act as a technical referent, and develop reporting tools and performance indicators. The ideal candidate has a higher education in mechanical engineering (preferably mechatronics) or equivalent experience, with a strong interest in diesel engines, project management experience, teamwork skills, data analysis capabilities, rigor, reactivity, organization, and excellent communication. English proficiency is required.

What you'd actually do

  1. Piloter, en tant que chef de projet, l’industrialisation des nouveaux programmes,
  2. Définir et mettre en place de nouveaux moyens bancs d’essais (définition, mise en service, validation),
  3. Être garant du respect des budgets et planning définis,
  4. Construire et suivre les relations avec les fournisseurs : élaboration du cahier des charges, consultations, étude des offres, sélection, passages de commandes, suivi des travaux, mises en service et validations,
  5. Définir l’architecture bancs (instrumentation, mécanique, électrique, automatisme, logiciels),
