This role is for a Senior Manager in Commercial Strategy within the Innovative Medicine division at Johnson & Johnson in Tokyo, Japan. The primary focus is on sales enablement and effectiveness, involving strategic planning, sales KPI design and analysis, go-to-market model development, and team management. The role requires strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills, with a focus on driving sales performance and competitive advantage in the healthcare market. It is not directly involved in AI/ML development.

What you'd actually do

  1. Provide proactive sales insights in the planning and execution of each DA strategy and tactic, and work with the Marketing Director to design optimal customer segmentation & targeting, sales activity frequency/KPI targets, and Sales Incentives to maximize activity impact and results (each period).
  2. Lead the cycle of sales KPI design according to product strategy => track => analyze => propose actions, identify opportunities swiftly, and drive sales organization competitiveness and performance improvement (Daily).
  3. Lead the sales organization design based on ST portfolio strategy (considering Late Pipeline) (in collaboration with SFE/MKT) and contribute to building the optimal Go-to-Market Model.
  4. As a cross-functional role for DA sales strategies and tactics, propose process optimization and standardization from a One ST perspective, overseeing the entire business unit, and maximize synergy in execution.
  5. Support analysts/team members supporting branch/sales office area plans as a group manager, and manage the team.

  • Market analysis / Area strategy construction support skills: Ability to analyze diverse data using various methods, derive quantitative conclusions, and coach.
  • Communication skills: Ability to lead towards overall goals by involving stakeholders and reaching consensus.
  • Presentation skills: Ability to present proposals in an impactful manner, explain and propose based on data while confirming the other party's understanding.
  • IT Skills: Excel skills are particularly required at a high level.
  • English proficiency: Desirable to be able to understand academic papers and conduct simple business communication.
