The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) in the Innovative Medicine division, focusing on solid tumors (specifically lung cancer), is responsible for building relationships with Key Individuals (KIs), implementing the medical plan through scientific communication, gathering insights from KIs, and contributing to medical strategy. The role involves communicating scientific materials, supporting evidence generation projects, and potentially expanding to other solid tumors. The position has different levels (Specialist, Senior Specialist, Principal Specialist) with increasing responsibilities in project leadership, strategy formulation, and team development.

What you'd actually do

  1. Build external relationships with Key Individuals (KIs) in lung cancer areas
  2. Communicate with KIs using scientific materials and fill knowledge gaps
  3. Gather insight from KIs and give feedback to J&J internal medical affairs team
  4. Contribute to build the MSL plan and medical affairs plan
  5. Primary focus are is lung cancer, but will expand or shift to other solid tumors

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor of Science degree
  • Work experience of 2+ years in pharmaceutical industry or medical institute
  • High communication skills
  • Experienced in leading and completing numerous complex projects
  • Business level of Japanese and English communication

Nice to have

  • MSc or PhD in life sciences and/or MD
