[innovative Medicine] Patient Advocacy Manager

This role leads patient advocacy strategy and engagement in South Korea for Johnson & Johnson's Innovative Medicine division. It involves building relationships with patient organizations, championing the patient voice, and shaping initiatives to improve patient experience and access, working closely with internal and external stakeholders within the Government Affairs function.

What you'd actually do

  1. Based in South Korea, this role leads patient advocacy strategy and execution for Korea within the Government Affairs function.
  2. Acts as a strategic partner to business and functional leaders to advance patient-centered, compliant engagement across Korea.
  3. Works closely with Market Access, Government Affairs, Communications & Public Affairs, and other cross-functional stakeholders.
  4. Reports to the Director, Government Affairs & Policy, Patient Advocacy.
  5. Provides expertise in patient advocacy, patient experience, healthcare policy, and regulatory requirements.

Skills

Required

  • 8–12 years of relevant experience in patient advocacy, patient engagement, communications, public affairs, market access, or related fields.
  • Demonstrated experience building relationships with patient advocacy organizations, external stakeholders, and cross-functional internal teams
  • Strong strategic thinking and execution skills, with the ability to influence without direct authority.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities across stakeholders, timelines, and workstreams.
  • Experience working effectively across cultures and within a complex matrix organization.
  • Ability to balance short-term execution with long-term strategic priorities.

Nice to have

  • Budget management and agency management experience preferred.
