This role focuses on designing and developing training content for autonomous maritime systems, partnering with subject matter experts to create effective learning experiences. Responsibilities include needs analysis, content creation (eLearning, ILT), assessment design, and LMS administration. The role requires experience in technical training environments and proficiency with authoring tools.

What you'd actually do

  1. Design and develop engaging learning experiences for internal teams and external customers across technical, operational, and business domains.
  2. Conduct training needs analyses to identify skill gaps, define learning objectives, and recommend training solutions aligned with organizational priorities.
  3. Create measurable assessments and evaluation tools that validate proficiency, readiness, and training effectiveness.
  4. Maintain training documentation, version control, and course assets to support scalability, auditability, and repeatable delivery.
  5. Support training sessions as needed, ensuring a consistent learner experience and alignment to learning objectives.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in instructional design, education, learning sciences, or related field required, Master’s preferred.
  • Proven experience designing and delivering training in technical environments (manufacturing, engineering, operations, defense, maritime, or similar preferred).
  • Proficiency with eLearning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia or equivalent).
  • Experience designing and delivering instructor-led training (ILT) and blended learning programs.
  • Strong visual and digital design skills (Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, HTML or similar).
  • Advanced knowledge of assessment design, evaluation methods, and data-driven learning improvement.
  • Strong project management, documentation, and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple projects and timelines.
  • Experience administering training in an LMS; Cornerstone experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to have

  • Experience designing training for AR/VR formats preferred.
