Instrumentation & Controls Engineer

This role focuses on architecting, designing, and deploying Building Management Systems (BMS), Energy Management Systems (EPMS), and SCADA solutions for AI data centers. The engineer will integrate HVAC, electrical, and monitoring infrastructure, define standards, and develop automation scripts and UIs to ensure efficient and scalable AI cloud operations. The role requires expertise in industrial control systems, protocols like BACnet and Modbus, and a strong understanding of data center environments.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead the architecture, design, and development of automation and visualization solutions for BMS/EPMS systems, ensuring seamless integration with HVAC, electrical, and monitoring infrastructure.
  2. Define system standards, frameworks, and design patterns for controls, PLC/SCADA, BMS, and EPMS implementations across multiple projects and sites.
  3. Develop intuitive dashboards, HMIs, and operator workflows that make complex building and power systems easy to monitor and control.
  4. Build and maintain automation scripts, tags, templates, and reporting modules to streamline commissioning, testing, and operations at scale.
  5. Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and OEM partners to scope, configure, and deploy projects utilizing BACnet, Modbus, OPC-UA, and MQTT protocols.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline
