This role is for an Instrumentation & Data Systems Capability Integration Manager at Boeing. The manager will guide strategy, workforce development, and enterprise engagement for I&DS, partnering with leadership to ensure capabilities support testing needs. Responsibilities include overseeing engineering tasks, developing stakeholder relationships, creating engagement frameworks, leading training initiatives, developing technology strategies and roadmaps, overseeing investment portfolios, and fostering a culture of understanding and communication.

What you'd actually do

  1. Provide oversight of employees performing engineering and technical tasks
  2. Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders, business partners, peers, and direct reports
  3. Develop Capability engagement framework and assessments across the enterprise
  4. Lead training and development initiatives to create industry best in class I&DS talent
  5. Help develop Technology Strategy and roadmaps across the enterprise for I&DS

Skills

Required

  • U.S. Person status for export control compliance
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry
  • 1+ year of leadership experience or completion of 'Exploring Leadership' course
  • 5+ years of experience in an engineering role within a test environment (lab or flight)
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

  • 3+ years of experience leading cross-functional or cross-business unit projects
  • 3+ years of collaborative leadership and teaming experience

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR completion of the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership"
  • 5+ years of experience in an engineering related role working in a lab test, flight test, or similar test environment
