Boeing is seeking an Instrumentation Engineer to support the development and verification of test methods for the MQ-25 Test Program. The role involves developing test procedures, defining instrumentation, analyzing data, and ensuring the proper functioning of test hardware and software. This position requires a Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering or science field and experience with instrumentation, data acquisition, signal processing, and electronics troubleshooting. The role may involve travel and requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance.

What you'd actually do

  1. Supports the development and verification of test methods
  2. Develops detailed test procedures, and instrumentation and configuration definition, needed to perform the test and minimize risk within the constraints of the test plan
  3. Develops solutions to calibration systems problems of limited scope and impact
  4. Writes Flight Prep Sheets and Authorization for work to configure instrumentation
  5. Directs pre-test checkouts to ensure the required instrumentation is installed, configured, and operating properly

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • 5+ years of experience with instrumentation and/or data acquisition systems
  • 3+ years of experience and/or coursework with analog/digital signal processing
  • 3+ years of Electrical Engineering experience
  • 3+ years of experience with electronics trouble shooting, repair and schematics
  • Willing to travel domestically as needed
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship

Nice to have

  • Experience troubleshooting data system / sensor anomalies
  • Experience in the production of Electrical Schematics
  • Experience with Instrumentation Data Systems/Digital Signal Processing
  • An active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering
