DoorDash is seeking an experienced Insurance Claims Specialist to manage auto insurance claims, working with insurance carriers and third-party administrators. The role involves developing claims handling strategies, reviewing loss reports, addressing escalating incidents, and ensuring data accuracy. Prior experience in injury and property damage claims is required.

What you'd actually do

  1. Review loss reports and supporting materials for workers' compensation and occupational accidents.
  2. Addresses escalating incidents. This involves identifying potential issues, assessing the severity of the risk, and taking appropriate steps to mitigate the risk and prevent further escalation. It also means maintaining detailed records of the incident and following up with stakeholders to ensure that the issue has been resolved.
  3. Contribute to process improvements and provide constructive input regularly.
  4. Partner with leadership to manage ongoing projects. This involves working closely with management to set project goals, establish timelines, and allocate resources.
  5. Enter accurate data in CRMs, G-Suite, and related tools.

Skills

Required

  • 1+ years of experience handling bodily injury claims
  • 2+ years of experience managing personal lines, commercial lines, or general liability claims.
  • Experience working with or for a gig or sharing economy company
  • Experience handling high-priority escalations and working promptly to provide resolutions
  • Comfortable regularly exercising discretion and independent judgment
