Intel Contract - Facilities Water/waste Treatment Technician

This role is for a Facilities Water/Waste Treatment Technician at Intel, responsible for maintaining and improving water systems, conducting sampling and analysis, operating and troubleshooting equipment, and preparing technical reports. It involves collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and adherence to sustainability standards.

What you'd actually do

  1. Conduct sampling and analysis of Ultra-Pure Water, Liquid Industrial Waste, and Industrial Wastewater systems.
  2. Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot advanced water systems, including reverse osmosis, ion exchange, ultrafiltration, ultraviolet sterilization, cooling towers, steam boilers, heat exchangers, air scrubbers, and chemical-related processes.
  3. Perform day-to-day interpretation of analytical instruments to evaluate water quality, such as ion chromatography, particle size/count analysis, and Differential Microbio Analysis.
  4. Coordinate with third-party laboratories to sample, ship, and obtain results for collected samples.
  5. Assist in preparing technical reports and presentations for technical and non-technical audiences, showcasing initiatives and performance metrics for the water treatment division.

Skills

Required

  • Associate degree in a technical field and 2+ years of experience in equipment maintenance or a related discipline
  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics)
  • High School Diploma/GED or higher plus 4+ years of hands‑on manufacturing experience in a relevant technical environment
  • High School Diploma/GED or higher plus 4+ years of military technical experience
  • High School Diploma/GED or higher plus 2.5+ years of experience in equipment maintenance or a closely related technical field
  • High School Diploma/GED or higher plus 3+ year Technical/trade certification

Nice to have

  • Demonstrated ability to prepare technical reports and communicate findings effectively to diverse audiences.
  • Familiarity with writing, reviewing, and implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Ability to coordinate with external laboratories and manage sample logistics.
