Interiors Certification Engineer (mid-level or Senior)

Seeking Interiors Certification Engineers and Interiors Certification Plan Owners to join certification teams. Responsibilities include developing, integrating, and documenting interior payload system certification requirements, performing or overseeing approval of analyses and test/inspection results, and working with design engineers on compliance to FAA regulations. Requires a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering and 5+ years of related work experience in aerospace engineering.

What you'd actually do

  1. Reviews type design change forms
  2. Develops, integrates, and documents interior payload system certification requirements
  3. Performs or oversees approval of analyses and test/inspection results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications
  4. Works with design engineers on showing compliance to the FAA regulations, developing/using issue papers, equivalent level of safety etc.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering
  • 5+ years of related work experience
  • 5+ years of experience in aerospace engineering (design criteria and certification processes)

Nice to have

  • 9+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5 + years of experience in program or project management, leading project and/or program proposals of varying complexity
  • Strong understanding and demonstrated certification experience with FAA Title 14 Part 25 and/or EASA equivalent
  • Experience working certification and configuration management issues
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Designated Engineering Representative (DER), Engineering Unit Members (E-UM), Design Approval Engineer (DAE), Certification Plan Owner (CPO), Design Engineer experience
  • Demonstrates good problem-solving skills and critical thinking
