This is an internship role focused on hardware research and development within the Research Operations team. The intern will support human research studies related to Oura's next-generation sensor development and scientific innovation, focusing on developing and validating new hardware features and improving algorithm accuracy. Responsibilities include preparing and maintaining research equipment, supporting study documentation, and data quality checks.

What you'd actually do

  1. Support hardware‑focused human studies: Assist with 1-2 hardware and sensing research studies under the guidance of Research Coordinators and Research Project Managers.
  2. Prepare and maintain research equipment
  3. Support study documentation and data quality checks

Skills

Required

  • studying biomedical engineering, electrical engineering, human biology, neuroscience, physiology, computer science, or a related field
  • experience or coursework related to human subjects research, lab work, or experimental design
  • comfortable working hands‑on with electronic devices and lab or test equipment
  • strong attention to detail and a commitment to high‑quality documentation
  • proficient with Google Workspace tools and comfortable using iOS and/or Android devices
