Internship role supporting the development of orthopedic/surgical robotics and navigation systems. Responsibilities include concept building, prototype design and manufacturing coordination, mechanical testing, design evaluations, and technical reporting.

What you'd actually do

  1. Support numerous work activities as part of the development process of new medical devices.
  2. Build concepts for medical devices and test setups.
  3. Design prototypes and coordinate manufacturing in the prototype shop.
  4. Coordinate and support mechanical tests
  5. Develop layouts and tolerance studies, participate in performing design evaluations (such as FEA, simulated use testing, dry labs and wet tissue labs etc.)
