International Trade Compliance Analyst

The International Trade Compliance Analyst will support the Mission Systems Export Compliance Team, ensuring compliance with export laws and internal processes that enhance foreign policy and protect national security. This role involves developing and managing internal export and import controls, obtaining necessary licenses and permits from the US Government, and conducting gate reviews for technical data, foreign travel, and shipments. The analyst will also maintain trade compliance records, support investigations, and provide training.

What you'd actually do

  1. Manages comprehensive internal export and import controls to ensure compliance with US and foreign regulations in the conduct of international marketing, sales, supply chain, and other business activities.
  2. Executing business processes for submitting to and obtaining from the US government all necessary export and import licenses, permits, certifications, and technology release determinations.
  3. Establishes operational processes for assuring trade compliance through gate reviews for technical data, foreign travel, foreign visits, and export and import shipments.
  4. Collaborate with various functional areas to develop and implement appropriate authorization strategies to meet business requirements and ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies.
  5. Assess complex transactions and determine applicability of internal gate reviews, licenses, exceptions, and exemptions.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related discipline with a minimum of 2 years of international trade compliance experience or a Masters degree with 1 year of related experience
  • Prior experience with ITAR and EAR
  • Experience in assessment and application of export and import regulations and commodity jurisdiction and classification determinations
  • Experience preparing and administering Department of State and Department of Commerce licenses and agreements
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret level security clearance

Nice to have

  • Experience with OCR's EASE software (EEMS)
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products
  • A current/active US Government Secret level security clearance
