The Inventory Analyst is responsible for tracking and ensuring the availability of materials, components, and finished goods for the Alpha drone production line, maintaining 100% inventory accuracy to prevent production downtime. This involves recording inventory, performing physical counts, coordinating with procurement, verifying material specifications, managing storage layout, and collaborating on kitting processes.

What you'd actually do

  1. Record and monitor all incoming raw materials and outgoing finished goods specific to the focus factory using ERP or WMS software (e.g., Odoo, SAP, Oracle).
  2. Perform daily or weekly physical counts of high-value or high-turnover components to identify and resolve discrepancies immediately.
  3. Coordinate with procurement to ensure "safety stock" levels are maintained, preventing stockouts that could halt the specialized production line.
  4. Verify that incoming materials meet technical specifications and discard or return items that do not meet company standards.
  5. Manage the layout of the storage area within the focus factory to ensure fast, ergonomic access to frequently used parts.
