Inventory Specialist

The Inventory Specialist role at xAI focuses on managing warehouse operations, including inventory organization, RMA processes, data entry, and asset tracking to support data center and infrastructure needs. This role requires experience in inventory management and data entry systems, with a preference for experience in a data center environment.

What you'd actually do

  1. Organize and maintain the Site Operations warehouse area, including shelving, labeling, and optimizing space utilization.
  2. Manage Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) processes, including inspection, documentation, and coordination with vendors for returns and repairs.
  3. Perform accurate data entry for inventory tracking, receipts, shipments, and asset management using internal systems.
  4. Conduct regular inventory audits, cycle counts, and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and minimize discrepancies.
  5. Receive, inspect, and log incoming shipments of hardware, parts, and supplies.

Skills

Required

  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate
  • 2+ years of experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, or a related field
  • Experience with data entry and inventory tracking systems
  • Familiarity with RMA processes and vendor coordination

Nice to have

  • Experience in a data center or technology warehouse environment
  • Proficiency with inventory management software (e.g., Oracle or similar systems)
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
