This role is for an Investigations Manager in Global Physical Security at Oracle. The primary responsibilities include leading and conducting investigations related to security breaches, theft, policy violations, and other risks to protect Oracle's assets and employees. The role requires strong knowledge of information protection, data security, and confidential investigations, with interaction with executives and stakeholders across various business lines. It involves documenting findings, preparing executive summaries, utilizing investigative databases, and liaising with internal and external agencies.

What you'd actually do

  1. Conduct and oversee comprehensive investigations into theft, workplace incidents, policy violations, and various security risks, including data protection concerns
  2. Document findings through detailed written reports, investigative files, and case notes, maintaining accuracy and consistency in case management systems
  3. Prepare high level executive summaries and reports regarding cases with a high degree of impact or risk to the corporation
  4. Provide guidance and support to executives based on analytical data, detailed records, and facts developed during investigations
  5. Utilize and maintain investigative databases and analytical tools to track cases, identify trends, and report on investigation outcomes

Skills

Required

  • 7+ years of investigative experience
  • Demonstrated leadership of investigations and case management
  • Strong knowledge of investigative tactics, strategy, and best practices
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher) and case management software
  • Experience in conducting interviews, writing reports, and—if applicable—providing testimony in court or legal proceedings
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
  • Positive partnership and effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong organizational, strategic decision-making, and analytical skills
  • Demonstrates a strong business acumen and understanding of a corporate atmosphere
  • Demonstrates strong operational excellence, planning capabilities, adaptability, and maintains a sense of accountability
