The Investigations Manager will lead and conduct complex internal investigations into potential violations of law or company policy, manage investigations from intake through resolution, and provide specialized accounting and financial analysis to support these investigations. The role also involves supporting enterprise compliance initiatives, identifying trends and control gaps, and supervising investigators. This position requires strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills, with a focus on ethical stewardship and adherence to legal and policy requirements.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead and conduct complex internal investigations into potential violations of law or company policy. Manage investigations from intake through resolution, including evidence collection, data and document review, interviews, analysis, and clear documentation of findings. Balance multiple matters simultaneously while exercising sound judgment, discretion, and strong prioritization skills.
  2. Provide specialized accounting and financial analysis to support internal investigations, including reviewing financial records, identifying irregularities, and assisting compliance and investigative teams in matters requiring technical accounting and finance expertise.
  3. Support enterprise compliance initiatives, including Standards of Business Conduct interpretation, disclosure and conflicts-of-interest review, gifts and hospitality oversight, and proactive risk mitigation efforts. Identify themes, trends, and potential control gaps arising from investigations and compliance activities and collaborate with stakeholders to recommend practical improvements. Contribute to targeted risk assessments and thematic reviews across business areas. Partner with business units to develop and deliver employee training.
  4. Maintain accurate and complete case documentation in accordance with records retention requirements and audit expectations. Contribute to dashboards, metrics, leadership reporting, and materials prepared for senior management and governance forums. Support continuous improvement efforts, including enhancements to case management processes, investigative tools, and the use of data analytics.
  5. Supervise investigators reporting to the Investigations Manager role, providing guidance, oversight, and accountability to ensure consistent, high-quality investigative outcomes. Contribute to the continuous improvement of the investigations program and related procedures.

  • 3 + years direct leadership experience to include the ability for decision-making skills under pressure and managing team members.
  • Demonstrated experience applying accounting and financial principles in investigative or compliance matters, including analyzing financial records, identifying irregularities or control weaknesses, and supporting fact-based findings related to fraud, misconduct, or policy violations.
