Ip Design Verification Engineer

Intel Intel · Semiconductors · Bangalore, India

This role focuses on the functional verification of IP designs for Intel's advanced IP technologies. The engineer will develop and execute verification plans, test benches, and simulation models to ensure designs meet specifications and identify/debug issues in the presilicon environment. Collaboration with architects and RTL developers is key, as is maintaining verification infrastructure. The role requires strong coding skills in Perl or Python, proficiency in SystemVerilog and UVM/OVM, and experience with AMBA protocols.

What you'd actually do

  1. Perform functional verification of IP logic to ensure designs meet specification requirements.
  2. Develop and execute IP verification plans, test benches, and environments to confirm compliance with microarchitecture specifications.
  3. Define and run system simulation models to verify designs, analyze power and timing, and identify bugs.
  4. Replicate, root cause, and debug issues in the presilicon environment and implement corrective measures to resolve failing tests.
  5. Collaborate with architects, RTL developers, and physical design teams to improve verification of complex architectural and microarchitectural features.
