This role focuses on pre-silicon IP design verification for client SOCs, involving validation of IP/features, creating test plans, debugging failures, and developing validation tools. It requires experience with RTL code, verification methodologies, and object-oriented programming.

What you'd actually do

  1. Validation of an IP or feature at the IP level
  2. Creating plans and tests for validating portions of a complex microarchitecture using written specs, RTL code and other tests as a guide
  3. Learning architecture and microarchitecture by debugging failures to the root cause
  4. Developing and utilizing various debug and validation tools and/or methodologies to implement validation plans with the goal being to ensure a solid design
  5. Participating in the debug of failures on silicon and developing new testing strategies to detect these failures on RTL models

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering
  • 3+ years of experience with technical specs and RTL code
  • 3+ years of experience with IP or SoC development, verification, or integration using Verilog/SystemVerilog and OVM/UV
  • 3+ years of experience writing validation plans and software
  • 3+ years of experience with an object-oriented programming language
  • 1+ years of experience with UNIX or Linux

Nice to have

  • Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering
  • 1 year experience with computer architecture
