Iron Technician I

The Iron Technician I provides assembly and testing of various mechanical components. This role involves processing incoming iron, cleaning, stripping, inspecting, and assembling flow control products. It also includes NDT trainee responsibilities and basic computer system operation for inventory and work monitoring.

What you'd actually do

  1. Process incoming iron starts to finish. Able to accept equipment from delivery, recertify equipment, load equipment for delivery, complete all associate paperwork, perform quality check, and manage inventory (without supervision)
  2. Assists Iron Technicians during the disassembling phase
  3. Clean, strip and inspect all required flow control components
  4. Prepare flow control products for Gauging, Ultra Sonic, and MPI inspections
  5. Ability to demonstrate the disassemble of flow control products per Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)

Skills

Required

  • Ability to operate hand tools such as hammers and screw drivers
  • Working knowledge of oil and gas equipment

Nice to have

  • Three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
