Boeing Defence United Kingdom Limited is seeking an IT Business Partner in Bristol, UK, to support multiple programs by partnering across business, functions, and IT. The role involves acting as a trusted advisor and primary IT point of contact to senior business leaders, delivering Enterprise Digital Solutions, supporting active campaigns, optimizing IT costs, and ensuring security and compliance. The ITBP will collaborate with performing organizations to prioritize statements of work and ensure timely delivery with high quality. Key responsibilities include serving as a liaison, understanding priorities, developing strategies, collaborating on problem-solving, executing communication plans, and identifying/mitigating risks. The role requires strong business acumen, stakeholder management, strategic thinking, project management knowledge, technical understanding, analytical skills, negotiation, and proven experience as an IT Business Partner. Basic qualifications include extensive IT experience and defense sector experience. Preferred qualifications include a relevant degree or equivalent experience and knowledge of MOD processes and compliance.

What you'd actually do

  1. Serves as a key liaison between the business or function, to understand priorities and needs, developing strategies to ensure business objectives are met.
  2. Collaborates directly with business or function to understand problems or initiatives and represents the business or function within IT to engage the right resources, explores alternatives and help deploy the right solution.
  3. Develops and executes communication plans, including status to leadership and to business or function stakeholders.
  4. Identifies risks and impacts and coordinates with business or function to approve mitigation plans or changes to commitments.
  5. Provides input and lessons learned on IT processes, procedures, tools and techniques, and ensures alignment to quality management solutions for the business or function.

Skills

  • Extensive IT experience

Nice to have

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or other related field or equivalent work experience
  • Knowledge of MOD maintenance, equipment, engineering and supply‑chain processes, and relevant standards/compliance (MOD O/S, DEFSTAN/JSP, ITAR, EAR)
