This role is for an IT Network Infrastructure Administrator responsible for supporting network, server, storage, enterprise software, and access controls. The position involves troubleshooting, deploying systems, and working on long-term projects related to site development and end-user systems. Key responsibilities include network equipment configuration, installation, cabling, monitoring, and documentation, as well as server administration, virtualization, containerization, and automation using scripting languages.

What you'd actually do

  1. Prepare and configure network equipment such as switches, routers, and firewalls before deployment.
  2. Install and secure network equipment in racks within the IDF.
  3. Install and terminate low-voltage/fiber cabling for data networks.
  4. Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers and related software across various distributions (e.g., Ubuntu, CentOS, Red Hat).
  5. Automate routine tasks and system deployments using scripting languages (e.g., Bash, PowerShell, Python) and automation tools (e.g., Ansible, SALT, Terraform).

Skills

Required

  • Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or 3+ years of experience in IT, specifically in network administration or a related field
  • Hands-on experience with network equipment such as routers, switches, and firewalls
  • Experience with low-voltage installation and termination of data networks
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.)
  • Proficiency in using network monitoring tools and software
  • Experience with Active Directory, Entra, Windows servers, and Linux servers
  • Proficient in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python) for automation and system administration tasks
  • Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, ProxMox) and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Experience with AWS, GCP, and Azure
  • Solid understanding of network protocols, architecture, and security practices
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Willing to travel both domestically and internationally
