It Technical Trainer

This role is for an IT Technical Trainer on the Cloud Operations + Innovation (CO+I) Learning team. The trainer will be responsible for technical training delivery, workforce training needs analysis, and procedural change management activities supporting datacenters. They will leverage technical and adult learning fundamentals to evaluate and report on training activities, and coach learners. The role involves delivering training on core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's online services.

What you'd actually do

  1. Align learning preparation with relevant metrics for measuring success (e.g., cloud consumption, survey feedback).
  2. Build awareness of the latest features, technologies, and processes and incorporate those into current learning experiences to ensure quality learning environment and delivery.
  3. Deliver single to multi-day training or other learning experiences in-person or virtually with minimal supervision leveraging a variety of delivery methods, including presentations, discussions, labs, and simulations, to deliver training.
  4. Use digitally enhanced instructor-led resources to effectively deliver technology-based learning experiences that prepare our IT technicians for local qualifications.
  5. Apply classroom management techniques such as flexible learning, behavioral reinforcement, and time management to reinforce learning while engaging with learners to ensure content and concepts are understood and aligned with operational goals.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree AND training, education, information technology (IT), cloud systems, datacenter environments, server environments, or computer technologies experience OR equivalent experience.

Nice to have

  • Datacenter & IT Operations across various functions and College or university degree
  • Exceptional written and Interpersonal skills: communicate effectively and concisely with stakeholders and organizational leaders about our programs and objectives.
  • MCT+ or equivalent technical training certification, or ability to complete within 6 months of hire
  • Current Industry framework certification (ITIL, Prince, Lean Six Sigma) or Technical Certification (CCNA, MCSE, NET+)
