JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Vice President for Wealth Planning and Advice. This role involves providing expertise in trusts, estates, tax planning, and financial planning for individuals and their entities. The VP will educate advisors and clients on wealth planning opportunities, partner with field management on strategies, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws. The position requires strong communication, presentation, and client engagement skills, with a focus on ethical conduct and client interests. A 4-year degree and CFP, CPA, J.D., or LLM are required.

What you'd actually do

  1. Work with divisional leadership and WP&A leadership to develop and present content across different wealth management topics
  2. Serve as a resource to the USWM field in the areas of both simple and sophisticated tax and trust & estate planning strategies as well as in concentrated position management, corporate executive services, and pre-liquidity transaction planning
  3. Partner with field leadership and Practice Management to integrate estate and tax planning concepts into goals-based advice
  4. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of both federal and state tax laws relating to our areas of focus
  5. Promote J.P. Morgan’s knowledge and sophistication to outside centers of influence, primarily accountants and attorneys

Skills

Required

  • CFP, CPA, J.D. or LLM
  • Self-starter with natural curiosity for individual planning and people
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong written and oral communication skills
  • Strong team player with a predisposition to service function
  • Ability to drive business results with broad background in trust and estate planning issues
  • A strong self-motivated individual who can work closely with Advisors without daily contact with a direct manager
  • Strong presentation skills in one on one and group meetings
  • Experience and ability in understanding clients’ financial situations and personal circumstance
  • Must be able to coach colleagues, Financial Advisors and clients (very strong partnership skills)
  • Individual with high ethical standards who never sacrifices integrity and works in the clients’ best interest

Nice to have

  • Series 7 & 66 required (may be fulfilled within 6 months of assuming role)
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
  • Familiarity with the taxation of entities and of estates and trusts
