**What will you do? **
As a Junior Data Engineer at Cat Digital's Slovakian branch, you will contribute to design, development and deployment of Caterpillar’s state of the art digital program. You will be responsible for:
- Development of applications, project management, and complex assignments.
- Development of application focused around delivering business valuable features.
- Assist other engineers, providing technical assistance and colaboration.
- Guiding the team to developing a structured code, new program documentation, operations, documentation, and user guides.
- Performing integrated testing to ensure timely, quality results.
This position works directly with Slovakia based engineering leadership and Cat Digital in the US.
**What you have: **
- Knowledge of technical aspects of a software products; ability to design, configure and integrate technical aspects of software products.
- Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
- Relevant degree in Computer Science or similar field.
- Proven experience with software development, testing, creating documentation and working within a team.
- Experience in designing and developing software applications in Python.
- Passion for technology and eagerness to contribute to a team-oriented environment.
- Solid knowledge of computer science fundamentals like data structures and algorithms.
- Deploying software using CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GoCD, Azure DevOps etc.
- Working within an Agile framework (ideally Scrum)
Top Candidates will also have:
- Basic knowledge of computer science fundamentals like data structures and algorithms.
- Elementary understanding of AWS cloud platform – components, services, cloud-native architecture etc.; experience with IaC – Terraform or CloudFormation
